I have taken ten 1:1 sessions at fit from the core.......The facility location and equipment are perfect for me.......I must say that my trainer Lizeth is excellent.....She challenges me every session with a variety of pilates techniques......I am very pleased with the changes in my body that are clearly visible.

This pilates studio fits my needs and I like the available equipment but, (like I feel about most pilates studios I've considered in the area) there are not enough evening and weekend classes. The prices for group reformer classes are reasonable. There is parking and the studio seems pretty clean and well light.
You should speak with someone on the phone before showing up for the first time so they can make sure the class has space and you are at the right level for your training (max is 5 people for reformer classes). Another reviewer is right that there is not someone manning the reception desk at all times, but once you know that, you email or call in advance if you have a question or need to change your class date and you are taken care of shortly.
I've taken classes with Leslie and Karen. You are free to try out the instructors to find one that suits your learning style/goals.
One-on-one instruction for reformer is priced ridiculously high throughout this area.

Big fan of Lizeth at Fit From the Core. Took 1:1 Pilates classes with her for 9 months. She is very nice, knowledgeable, and concerned about her clients physical health. Lizeth was very accommodating to my schedule and helped me blow past my fitness goals. I changed jobs recently and had to find a new studio, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIZETH at Fit From the Core.
[Only complaint is the lack of locker rooms/showers.]

I began training 6 months after having had extensive back surgery and a fair amount of muscle loss. My goals were to rebuild muscle and regain strength and tone. I was matched with Heidi Schmitz as my trainer.
Heidi is wonderful, I think I have become addicted to her. Without my 3 to 4 times a week with Heidi I get a little grouchy, irritable, and moody. this is a new thing, so I guess it's the workout. The experience has been great. Heidi is a smart trainer, as she is conscious of my limitations, but is always looking for new ways to challenge my body. Consequently, I have visible results and look forward to each workout. I couldn't have done it (or maintain it) without Heidi, and The Core having directed her to me.

Enjoyed my time training with Lizeth in Pilates. She was very good and patience. I had problems with my time because of work, she always was available when I needed her. Plan to return for more sessions after the new year. Found the place to be very clean a little pricey, but it was worth it.

Ladies (and men, too), be prepared for the best work out of your life...without the soreness the next day. I decided to "try" Pilates for one session...only to find...it was absolutely fabulous. I have done wraps (great, but only last a few days), personal trainers, marathons, gyms, etc. There is absolutely no comparison to the work outs at the Core..with Lizeth.
After years of attempting to keep off the ten lbs I decided to get serious. I have gone a whole size down in clothes...and my closet is expanding with sexy new outfits. It's not about losing the weight for me but about looking fit and tone..and my husband could tell after three sessions...he said, "I am going to have to go see Lizeth". Get in line...this chic is spunky, cool, genuinely nice and caring..but that doesn't mean she can't take care of business.
Pilates not only has helped with toning abdomen, arms, legs, and back, but also improved my running. I ran 7 miles this week and it was smooth....felt strong...and know it's about the Pilates.
I can't say enough about The Core's flexibility to work with my schedule and understanding for legitimate last minute cancellations. They get it..it's the real world and I want to work with a group of people who are understanding and keeping it real.
I can't say enough about the outstanding staff and professionalism at the Core.
Lizeth is an excellent Pilates Pumping Trainer who demonstrates a great understanding and knowledge of the human body, anatomy, and physiology as well as the unfortunate aging process. Be prepared for her workout...She is an amazing young woman and an amazing trainer!!
Once last thing, the Core values your time and discusses your goals.....it's amazing.
I only wish I would have done this one year ago right before my wedding. I was paying double the price and saw little results. I just got back from shopping....thanks to Lizeth I can wear clothes that I thought I could never wear!! Strapless cocktail dress here I come!! Oh, and it's lots of fun!!

I work one on one with Lizeth at Fit for the Core and have to say - She is amazing. She has a wonderful sense of humour and she is a great trainer. She is young and energetic and her enthusiasm is contagious. She has achieved amazing results even with people whose mobility is limited due to surgery. If you are looking for a great Pilates instructor/trainer I would encourage you to try a session with Lizeth. You won't be disappointed.

I had a great experience here this summer while visiting family. Love the facilities and the staff are really knowledgeable. Studio is beautiful: clean and bright with just the right amount of equipment. Adding some different classes would add variety and make this a real 5 star deal. Don't get the problem Ravi mentions: the management were totally accommodating for me. Recommend highly - and will miss it back east!

I have to admit this is one of the BEST studios in the area!! I tried several studios before settling at Fit From The Core.
The Prices are much cheaper than other places, the quality of the instructors is awesome! Very Friendly atmosphere, fully equipped studio and not too crowded.
What I like the most is how they really worked with my schedule!
Private sessions are tailored to individual needs. There will be days where my hips were kind of funny and the trainer new exactly how to work with my issues!
Whatever it was I always walk out of there with relief.
I highly recommend this place! :)

I have been training here for over a year now. I initially went to rebuild my abs after having a baby, and Pilates turned out to be go so good for me that I've stuck with it.
What I love about The Core studio is that they've been extremely accomodating to my schedule. I take two private sessions per week and even when I need to reschedule they find someone in my preferred timeframe, most of the time, which is great.
I've worked with 6 trainers so far and I have nothing but high praise for all of them. Each one has their own strengths and things they like to focus on, so mixing it up is my best advice to get the most out of it.
Lorraine, the owner, is always very friendly and does her best to make every client happy as long as it's possible schedule-wise. The place is pricey but sooooo worth it! It doesn't have a "big noisy gym" feel to it at all, which I love.

On a whim, I walked into Fit From The Core. I met Lorraine and told her I wanted to get back into shape. We decided upon two sessions a week, and she suggested that I do both strength and conditioning as well as Pilates. Within eight weeks, I was down one dress size and am very close to going down one more. Annie and Barbara, my incredible trainers, know my limitations and are great about getting the most out of our workouts. Not only have I lost weight and built muscle, my long-standing back issues have begun to fade away. I've even started training for a half marathon! I couldn't be happier with the results and am so glad I found you.

When I retired in December 2004, one of my primary goals was to get in better shape. Big gyms with large numbers of members were intimidating, but I knew I needed personal training to jump start an exercise routine. The Core had recently opened in our neighborhood; the size of the building was appealing, and Lorraine - the owner/ manager - warmly welcomed us when we first went in. Very quickly I had a wonderful personal trainer, and my partner, Lynda, and I began weekly Pilates training with an exceptional instructor. Both instructors understood where I was from and, with humor and persistence encouraged me. Within several months, Lynda also began personal training at The Core with another excellent trainer. Three years later, I have two personal strength training sessions each week and one pilates session; my current personal trainer, Frederick, has a tremendously positive personality and continues to encourage me to improve. We just began working with our current Pilates instructor, Leslie, and she is very well matched with us.
Several aspects of The Core are special. Over time, people and schedules change, but Lorraine is very skilled in matching clients to trainers. Her knowledge and understanding of what works for each client is very much appreciated. A second aspect that we appreciate is schedule flexibility. I returned to work in January 2006 and needed some schedule flexibility, which The Core and our trainers have always provided. We continue to enjoy the size of The Core: we have top instructors and great equipment in a smaller, more personal setting. The Core works for us, and we’re delighted clients.

I work one-on-one here with Jennifer who is a pilates personal trainer. I've had a great experience. Jennifer is friendly and knowledgeable. I've only been there in the evenings but the gym has never been crowded and the equipment is well maintained. My only complaint is that there isn't a locker room so I try and change at work before I head over there.
